Schooner Premium ~ 8 January 1837
The captain and two crew members were taken off the sloop Premium, enroute to its home port of New Haven, CT from Virginia, by a passing unidentified vessel and landed on Ocracoke Bar. The vessel had been abandoned in a sinking condition.
