The previous owner of my home (a 1890 Victorian) Capt William S Johnson's sister perished in this shipwreck. She was Mrs. Florence Wicks. The Higbies and the Wicks were memorialized at Northport Rural Cemetery and Huntington Rural Cemetery respectively.
