Sprung a leak, capsized, and sank 3 miles south of the station; crew escaped to shore and were cared for and fitted out with clothing from the Women’s National Relief Association stores by the surfmen, who also saved much of the cargo and outfit after the schooner washed up on the beach. Vessel a total loss.
